Update here.
How pleased I was today to come across your site and some photos of what used to be my namesake. I am Gail (Scallywag) Johnston. My father Ray owned her and won the Sydney to Hobart in 1982. If you have any up to date info, if she is still in Dubai etc. The family visits Dubai if she is still there. Thanks for the updates. Cheers Gail
ReplyDeleteHi Gail, thanks for your comment. I haven't heard anything lately about the rebuild, hopefully it is progressing ok. If you have any other stories from the early 1980s about this boat please feel free to make contact at rb_sailing@outlook.com. Cheers.
