There was plenty of wind for the first race of the Squadron's Club Marine Wednesday series - the wind was blowing from the west which sent the various divisions scuttling down the harbour under spinnaker or gennaker, some more successfully than others - and a strong flood tide helped bring the boats back up harbour. I was racing on the Farr 1020 Flashwave - an excellent run to the bottom mark under the small kite was undone by a genoa tack fitting failure, the division honours going to Hard Labour.
